Two Strangers
The Medzibozer commented on the verse: "I am a sojourner in the earth; hide not your commandments from me" (Pslams 119:19). He said: "A traveler came to a town where everyone was a stranger to him and he had no one with whom to converse. Later another stranger arrived, and both becoame friends, compelled by their mutual lonliness. They agreed to have no secrets from each other henceforth. The Psalmist says: 'I am a stranger in the earth of evildoers, and You O Lord, are likewise unwelcomed. Let us become friends, and have no secrets from each other.' "
