The Lord Guards Us
The Tzechiver Rabbi commented on the verse in Numbers 6:24: "The Lord shall make you prosper and guard you." "Oftentimes," he said, "prosperity brings evil results in its train, and therefore the priests bless us, to the end that we may enjoy prosperity and avoid its resultant evil through the Lord's guardianship over us."
