The Sculpture
Said "Yud: said: "A mitzvah or a prayer may be performed in a spirit of great-heartedness or of pettiness. It may be asked: wherein lies the difference, as long as it is performed? The difference may be discerned from the following illustrations: a sculpture may be done in clay and the same figure poured out in gold. Does not the statue of gold captivate your appreciation more than the same figure in cold clay?"
