Help an 11-year-old become a Sofer

Shalom Friends My husband is a Sofer STaM and teaches Sofrut. One if his students is an 11 year old boy who has a desire to become a Sofer. His father has run out of funds for the lessons. He currently learns once a week. The goal is for him to learn the material in order to begin writing a Megillah by the time he reaches Bar Mitzvah age.?
