The Hour Strikes
A man came to the Lekhivitzer and asked him to teach him humility. At the very moment he was speaking, the clock struck the hour.
The rabbi commented: "From the sound of the clock striking the hour, we can receive ample instruction regarding the submission of the heart. Each one of us should ask himself: 'Another hour of my life has departed; have I accomlpished any improvement of my soul within it?' "
