After 20 years of marriage, a woman decided to check if her husband still loved her. While the husband was out at morning prayers,? she left him a letter in which she wrote -
?"I'm tired of this situation, I feel you no longer love me, I have made my decision.? I am leaving you to start? a new life."?
She placed the letter on her husband's pillow in the bedroom and hid under the bed to hear his reaction. When the husband returned from prayer, he went into the bedroom, saw the letter, and began to read it. The woman heard him take out a pen, wrote a few words on the letter and then called someone ...
"Yossi," shouted the husband. "??????? ??????? ??????? ???? ???! Listen, I get a Mazal Tov, I'm on my way to you, I'll tell you everything ..."
The husband left the room, took some things from the living room, and ran out of the house.
The wife was devastated. She came out from under the bed crying and frustrated. She took the letter, to see what her husband had written. She read:?
"My wife, I see your dress sticking out from under the bed. Stop this nonsense, I love you so much and I do not intend to give up on you so quickly. I must run to work. I will return in the evening - we will sit, talk and work things out."
Each of us wants to feel safe and confident in our social connections,? health, livelihood, and in our security. Yet we see that things are changing very quickly. Just recently we thought that corona was behind us - and here it is again more powerful than ever. Troubles at home and abroad, from afar and near.?
In this week's Parsha there is a verse that may shed some light, or at least focus our thoughts.?

?"????? ???? ????? ????? ????? ?????? ?????? ????? ???????"? If you are wondering why there are so many deaths even though there is no war. If you are asking why are they instituting new laws and penalties again. Maybe another lockdown, more restrictions.
"???????? ?????? ?????????????"... Know it is being brought upon us because of fighting and baseless hatred.?
?A student once asked his rabbi - why do people shout when they get angry at each other, even though they are physically close? The rabbi replied,
?"It is true that physically they may be close, even face to face, yet their hearts are very far apart, that is why they shout".
We will probably be returning to social distance, but at least our hearts should be close to one another.?
May we be strengthened in the belief that in the end,? it will be Hashem's will soon in our days - that everything will be good.
