My husband was taking Sexenda and lost vision in both eyes, 7 months apart. We flew down to Baskin Palmer Institute in Miami and saw two ocular neurologists.? They both knew about the supposed connection between GLP. 1 and NAION. They both thought there is no true connection because there is not an increase in NAION worldwide yet there are so many people taking GLP¡¯s. Just another prospective on the issue. ?

This (Ozempic), I am quite sure, is what caused my NAION in right eye. Took dosages up to 1 mg of Ozempic August ¡®24-January ¡®25. See online info about Massachusetts Eye and Ear (Harvard affiliated) discovery (which, they say, requires further study) that chances of obese and diabetic patients who take a GLP-1 medication (e.g. Ozempic, Weygovy) is 4-7x more likely than those taking other meds for these conditions. They found an ¡°association,¡± by did not yet find a ¡°causality.¡± I know this has been posted before, but we have many new people joining this group.
