Voting information for upcoming election
This year’s election will again be conducted electronically.? All voters must have a valid email address on file with NAFA to receive a ballot.? Voters include:? Club Owners, Regional Directors, Approved and Supervising Judges, and Board Members.?? Please see the current rulebook at http://www.flyball.org for the specific vote allocations.? There are no changes since last year's election. If you wish to confirm your email address and number of votes you have two options: 1.? Go through the email verification process, as done in previous years.? The email you receive will also indicate how many votes you have earned for this election. To do this go to http://www.nafaflyball.com/database/eballot_signup.php , input your name (as it appears on the website) and email address.? Once you are found in the database, you’ll be sent a confirmation email. -OR- 2.? Check your contact info and see your vote count by logging into your NAFA website account http://www.nafaflyball.com/database/public/public_login.php .?? Practice starts at CanAm

Of note, especially to those of you attending CanAm:
- False?starts are no longer in effect for all classes.??
-?Practice?starts are now available for all classes.? ? ?
At CanAm, we will be using a system that is being used successfully in Regions 5 and 7.? A sign and flag/PVC combination will be placed in each ring on the?starting lights pole.? Competitors will indicate to the judge that they want a?practice?start?by placing the flag into the PVC pipe.? The judge will remove the flag after the?practice?start?is completed.

Voluntary Data Gathering Initiative at CanAm - New Measuring Device
NAFA is moving ahead with the data gathering initiative at CanAm as we continue to explore potentially using the FCI measuring device.? What we deem critical is creating a translation from the measurement of the dog's ulna to a comparable NAFA jump height (using our existing withers' measurements).
?
We are asking attendees of CanAm to consider volunteering to bring dogs that meet the criteria to participate in the data gathering process.??
?
To thank participants?for their time, we will be distributing $10 Vendor Bucks per dog (maximum 3 x $10 Vendor Bucks per owner), which can be redeemed with CanAm's official vendors.

The data gathering process will take place where measuring has occurred previously, at the entryway located on the north side of the building.? Official measuring for CanAm will be done in a separate area.

Dog's gender, age, breed (if mix - please identify as many breeds as possible), withers' measurement, measurement in cm of the ulna with FCI device

What we WON'T be tracking with the measurement data
Dog's CRN, name, region, owner's name, any other way of linking the data with the dog
