CanAm Updates

Hi Everyone!

First, I just want to thank everyone for all the entries for CanAm, we are very excited to host the premier flyball event in just over a month!

We are thrilled to be hosting again, and delighted to be able to partner with AKC/ESPN to broadcast our championship races!

I had a few items I wanted to share, as I have had some questions. First, the question of masks and COVID protocol questions. NAFA has, and will continue to follow the guidance published by the CDC, and we will follow the most up to date guidance right up to and through the event. At this juncture, it appears very likely that we will all be wearing masks for the event. We will pad crating areas to create more space for teams as well, which can help with distancing. If you want to follow the updated guidance by county, here is handy link to the CDC site:

The next item is around prizes/welcome bags. We want to be cost conscious but also balance this with a fantastic competitor experience. We've made the decision this year to forgo placement prizes on Friday and Saturday, and instead invest in higher quality welcome bag gifts. We felt it was a better use of funds, and everyone will benefit. We will continue to have placement prizes for Sunday Division winners in Regular and Multibreed.

Finally, if you haven't heard, we will be running our Invitational elimination races and Division finals races across the back alley in the Indiana Farmers Coliseum! The schedule is still being worked out, but it will be similar to racing in years past. Plan to look sharp on Sunday if you think you will be in that group of teams.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

See you in a month!
