Good Morning!
I entered a comment in the Comments field when I logged an FT-8 QSO.
Now that comment is replicated for each QSO I log!
According to the on-line documentation, that can be stopped by unchecking
Settings -> Carry Comments Data Forward
I've done this and it doesn't help.

Where did you enter than comment -- in
ACLog or WSJT-X?? If in WSJT-X do you have "Retain" checked?? In
ACLog, I believe the Carry Comments Forward applies only
to the same station.? Try erasing the comments on the next Q you
log.

Hi Larry --
Yes, I entered the comment in WSJT-X.?? "Retain" is not checked in WSJT-X.?? Just verified that with an FT-8 QSOs,? and the same old comment appears when I look in AC Log.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your e-mail.? Unless you are logging the same call sign, the repeated value in the comments field is coming from a connected program, not AC Log.??
If you prefer to not have the Comments field filled automatically from AC Log, you can do either or both of the following:
Click Settings > Carry Comments Data Forward so that it is unchecked. This will keep previous comments data with the same station from being brought forward to the current QSO.
Click Callbook > Place Retrieved Address in Comments Field so that it is unchecked. This will keep callbook retrieved data for the current contact from being added.
You will need to modify behaviors from connected programs in those applications. Enjoy!

It is turned OFF in WSJT-X.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your follow up.? Enter a call sign in AC Log and press space bar (or tab) to tab.? If the value doesn't appear, you can be sure that it is being inserted by the connected program.
Enjoy!
