Re: Ham Call access from Hard Drive
Hi Bill,
Thanks for your e-mail.
To use the Hamcall data on your hard drive, just set the directory to C (don't enter a colon or \, just the letter). That should do the trick.
Thanks for your

Ham Call access from Hard Drive
Hi Scott,
Not wishing to leave my HamCall CD in the drive, I installed the
software onto my hard drive, but ACLog doesn't seem to want to
extract the log info from that location (C drive/HamCall

cw speed indicator for the fd logging program
Has anyone done any measurements on the speed vs the number listed
in the speed setting window?
It would be nice to know what number to set it to for
5,10,15,20,25,30,35 WPM. My ear for guessing

Re: cw speed indicator for the fd logging program
Hi Huel,
The CW speed is dependent on the processor speed. The faster your processor,
the higher the number. My old 75Mhz machine sounds good at the 7-10 range!

CW interface capabilities
I am very interested in using the CW interface, but before either
building the circuit or buying the cable, I wanted to make sure the
software did what I hope. Perhaps I missed the full description,

Re: CW interface capabilities
Hi Jim,
Thanks for your e-mail.
Yes, by pressing the F12 key you enter "keyboard" mode. Each character that
you type is sent. When you want to exit and return to logging, just press F12
again.

ACLog Screen Snapshots
Hi All,
Eddie, KG4EFR, sent me a very cool ACLog screen shot configuration (see the
forwarded message below). I thought it would be fun to add a web page showing
different configurations that

CW Interface Working
It was the PC.
I loaded the program on an old PII 233mhz, W95 system, and it came up
working immediately.
For those of you who encounter a problem like mine, and who might

SMIRK Contest Software
Is any software for this contest in the works or is the audience too
limited?
Thanks,

Re: VHF Log and grid squares
I second the motion. The way the bands were open last contest, I frequently
was working areas not displayed on the screen. It would also be neat to see
the whole picture.
Thanks for your hard work,

Suggestion for ACLog
Hello!
I have a suggestion for ACLog 2.3...
After spending some time this morning setting up my fields and tabs,
it occured to be how much easier it would be if the program (while

Re: SMIRK Contest Software
Hi Dave,
I eventually hope to support as many contests as I can. Right now, the
number one request is clearly the PA QSO party and I've been working on that one
the last few weeks. These programs

Getting my CW interface to work
I just built the 2N2222 interface circuit and haven't been able to
get it to key my rig. Does anyone know what the signal level should

Re: Getting my CW interface to work
Hi All,
Not being a hardware guy myself, I'd really appreciate it if you would send
along any thoughts and suggestions to help Huel get his CW interface going.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions. The outline maps are cool, and I'd like to use them as much as I can. So far they have been added to Field Day, November Sweepstakes and each of the State QSO Party

Grid display
Maybe a map showing the grids, and maybe use color to show which grids
are worked? Kinda like the lastest release of Field Day with the
sections map that fill the worked section in with color???

Re: VHF Log and grid squares
Scott,
Thank you for the quick response!! I vote for both.. I like the idea of
being able to see the whole map (or at least more of it) full screen once in
a while, (maybe while the band is dead),
