I'm running 24H2 on 3 machines (HP) with no issues. I didn't get the "back up files" message when the update ran. I don't use One Drive or any other cloud storage for my files for all the aforesaid

Be careful with that update of 24H2. A few weeks ago it bricked my ability to connect to the internet and I had to buy a new PC. Seriously. Perhaps they fixed that, but I know they pulled it soon
