Re: call book import not working

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the clarification. I haven't had any other reports of problems with the conversion utility. What hardware are you running?

I guess import was the wrong word to use. I'm using the convert fcc
database under the file menu. It worked the first time I used it,
but locks the computer up every time now.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your E-mail. The FCC and RAC data is not imported into
ACLog. The data exists as files on your hard drive with .cal
extensions that ACLog accesses for callbook lookup. You can either
download the ACLog ready calldata from my website on the ACLog page
or download and convert the data directly from the FCC and RAC pages.

Either way, don't try to import the data into ACLog. Just set a
path to the files on your hard drive and check the check box for
callbook lookup. When you tab from the Call field, the name and
address of any valid US and Candadian call will appear in the
appropriate data entry fields.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

When I try to import the FCC database into the callbook, it locks

at
3 different stages of the import.
