Re: Clicks when using ACLog

Nope ¨C nothing like that at all.? I set the waterfall display for maximum resolution and could not see anything like that in any way.? Even watching on the big monitor I couldn¡¯t see anything.? I tried it on 6m because the band was dead and the waterfall was clean.? I should have been able to detect even a small anomaly.? Is this everywhere, or band-dependent?? And to further clarify, when you ¡°hit the PTT¡±, I assume you are pressing the button on the microphone and not sending a voice recording through AC-Log to the radio?? What microphone are you using?? I have the Icom SM-30.

FWIW, my polling is set to 115200 and 500-ms, and has always worked flawlessly.? I also have an IC-905 set up as my second radio.? It is also at 115200 and 500-ms, and also works flawlessly.? I¡¯ve made several contacts on 1296.170 using Q65 and it worked perfectly.? It is possible that I just don¡¯t know what to look for¡. But I think I¡¯d hear the ¡°POP¡±¡¡ and I do not.

Perhaps if Jim-W1WIU could post a screen shot of what he is seeing¡¡¡

Hi All,

?

I have?a 7610 here myself and can't hear anything like what Jim describes.? Our software just sends the poll rig command to Windows, which routes it to the selected com port and then listens for a response.??

?

?I am by?no?means?a?hardware guy, so I really don't have?any insights on why that?would be occurring.??If anyone has any insights into Jim's question I would be grateful for your reply.

?

Thanks in advance!

I just upgrade from an IC 7600 to an IC7610. Using the same LCU3-I-USB cable, Win 11, and downloaded the latest driver software.

I just noticed that I can hear a click and see a "blip" on the Spectrum Scope when I hit the PPT in SSB mode that is in sync with the polling rate. If I change the rate, the blip also changes. This only happens in SSB.

The audio blip is the same at 1 watt and 100 watts.? The blip on the Spectrum scope also does not increase as power goes up.

I'm polling at 19.2 and .500 sec.?

Any ideas as to cause ???
