Re: Second Request -- Cabrillo Not Working

Hi Fred,

Thanks for your e-mail.? After you write the Cabrillo file, a message box will display showing precisely where you have saved the file.? That is where you will find it.

I've not ever had a report of protection software capturing a Cabrillo file.??In the very unlikely event that the file is not at that location, make sure that your protection software isn't capturing it.??

Enjoy!

I would also save to my desktop to make it easy to find, then move it to a "special" contest folder, but all the contests that I have participated in, the contest software immediately after writing the Cabrillo file has a button to submit it directly to the ARRL, and it takes you directly to the contest site to submit. You can either browse your hard drive (hence the desktop being the easiest place to find it) or you simply copy to the clipboard and paste the Cabrillo to the contest site.

My guess is that it is not that "Cabrillo is not working" but rather it is just being saved to a different location. You could probably find it by putting the name of the file in the "Search" and search your entire computer.
I have mistakenly saved files (not ACLOG or any other N3FJP) files to strange places, but it has always been due to my not paying attention to where things were saved and making an assumption they were going to where I wanted them to go. This is usually after I have been using other software and switched to some other program. Is it possible that you have been using other programs on your computer that have dictated where files will be saved, as has been my case?
