The change back to standard time will
occur during the November Sweepstakes CW contest this weekend.? Like the rest of my software, the
Sweepstakes program checks your UTC offset setting on startup, but not
continually.? If you operate or?leave the program running through the
night, you'll need to change the offset manually.? To do that,?click
Setup from the menu options and enter the new value in the Hours Added
for UTC field after the change to standard time.
And this very frequently asked question:
I'm using Vista / Windows 7, the program worked great during the contest, but now I can't find the ADIF/Cabrillo/Other file that I formatted for contest submission?
In Vista and Windows 7, after navigating to the program directory where you saved the file you created, you must click on Compatibility Files to see the file.? Vista and Windows 7 actually store the files in a “Virtual Store” under the AppData store in your user folder. Fortunately, you don’t need to hunt around for the files, just turn on “Compatibility Files” in Explorer. When you browse to a folder that has these hidden files, you’ll see a Compatibility Files toolbar button. Clicking it will show the virtual files for that folder. Keep in mind, though, that the files won’t show up in Open and Save dialogs.
If you are running Vista or Win 7, be sure to install and run my software with Administrator privileges.
