Bennington Co On The Map For VTQP

Last weekend was the VTQP and as of lately, was very active across the state.
?
It was really nice to see some fellow operators in our county participating (and work them in the contest). Besides myself, I found that Nathan, K1MAZ and Bill, W1BVT were active.
?
If you participated, please let me know as I will put a list of our activity in the next Newsletter.
?
As far as I am aware of, Bennington Co had at least 315 CW, 100 SSB, and 130 Digital QSOs.

So checking my logs, for the VT QSO Party, I had 127 Digital Contacts (FT4/FT8), and 72 SSB. It is the most I've ever done for a QSO Party!?
?
I was able to figure out a way to remote into my laptop that was connected to my computer, then I could control my WSJT-X from anywhere in my house, when I was going about other thing, having family conversations, and still allow me to initiate and log each digital contact.
?
It really helped.

Very Cool Nathan! It sounds like you scored well by devoting time to it and coming up with a good strategy. It's always fun to better your previous year's score!

I started out planning to operate QRP CW only, but quickly bailed on that plan as competition for bandspace with the guys doing the FOC CW contest was pretty fierce. So I changed to 100 watts and made my challenge to beat my last year's score. It seems the last several years I always come in at 5th place- this year I hoped to achieve 4th. At the top is some real tough competition that I will never catch, such as my friend Ron, KK1L who is a very skilled contest monster and always quadruples my score. (Chittenden Co)

In the end, judging by reported scores on the 3830 score page, I should alas, be in 5th spot again! Lol.

It is strange how close our SSB and Digi numbers are. My results:
CW- 314 QSOs - 62 multipliers
Digi- 125 QSOs- 25 multipliers
SSB- 79 QSOs- 35 multipliers

Always a fun contest. Don't forget the New England QSO Party in May- Bennington Co is rare on that as well.
