It's always been a default function of the CPS, I always take pictures of my options tabs before hand,, I think any tone does this because you can go from different radios with an export , but the 578 options are different than the 868 or the 878 to avoid possible problems

This is a problem with the Anytone CPS and creation of the DCF file.
I loaded a RDT file into the 578 CPS (1.11), exported a DCF file and then immediately imported that same DCF file. My "Key Fnction" settings had been reset to default values.
Analysis: I think this is on purpose so that a DCF file written by one Anytone radio can be read by another model Anytone radio. The 868, 878 and 578 have differences in their capabilities, especially in the area of "Optional Settings". Hence I believe Anytone chose to reset those particular "Optional Settings" settings to default values of the radio importing the DCF file. I could be way up the creek with this analysis...but it explains the behavior we are seeing.
Fact: it is not a Contact Manager issue at all, but a function of DCF export/import?
