Dynamic mic details
Some parts of Thiele Small measurements can't easily be done (eg delta mass), but it seems possible to feed a dynamic mic element with a small mic-level signal, scale up the resistance in series, and measure level vs frequency across the capsule to get an idea of resonances etc.

As usual, I should have been more specific and detailed.?? I was holding up T-S parameters as an example of a lumped parameter model.? The specific parameters can be separated by domain. 1). Electrically, it's Re and Le, the resistance and inductance of the voice coil --- this doesn't change in a dynamic mic.? The force factor, Bl, can also be a mic parameter. 2). Next up, it's the mechanical variables: Rms, Cms and Mms (or Mmd), the damping, compliance and mass of the diaphragm.? Looking at Bauer's equivalent circuits (e.g. "Century of Mics"), you'll see that this is present in his model as well. 3). Lastly, the acoustical circuits.? Here the model is vastly different.? First,? there's the equalization tube (Lt, Rt).? In the loudspeaker, you'll find Vas, which is the volume equivalent of the compliance.? That's not relevant here.? Bauer's diagram in "Transformer Analogs of Diaphragms" is instructive.? You find two transformers, one for the surround (call it Ss) and one for the diaphragm (call it Sd in keeping with loudspeaker parlance).? Behind the diaphragm, you have a completely different circuit having volumes for the coil and the back volume. I left off Fs and Xmax, although these are relevant here as well.
