For my second build I have some JLI160A11UC680 3-wire capsules. I'm wondering about mating them to the OPA-Alice circuit, but am a little unsure of how to make this 3 wire capsule work with the OPA Alice circuit without modding the capsule to remove the internal FET
Actually, it is quite possible to connect a capsule with internal FET to an Alice circuit. It takes to power the capsule, which just requires two resistors and one capacitor, then use a capacitor between either the drain or source of the FET and the input of the Alice circuit, where the capsule is normally connected. The 1Gohm resistor should be replaced or bridged with a lower value resistor, abouit 100k.If you don't do that, the circuit will take ages to stabilize. Taking the signal from the drain usually results in high gain, which may not be desirable.
