The ring is the same thickness is on the real capsule so if it doesn't fit in a headbasket that would be weird
One thing to consider. I had an experience this morning with an inexpensive 34mm element that added a plastic ring, It was green, a nice addition, looked nice, but when I tried to put it into the headshell, it would not go. It was too thick to Put the BM800 headstack over it. So some time with a file, I got it to fit. So consider that if it makes it thicker than stock. That part never crossed my mind.
