Hey Jesse, I have built four of those exact mics and they are really good. Finding donor bodies is the real challenge. I was (and still am a bit) using the "U87" clone bodies from AliExpress. Like BM800 bodies, I feel like every time?I order I get a slight variation. At a minimum I have learned that owning?a M2.5 tap??
really helps. Plus an assortment of small metric screws as well!?
For the 5 pin? this will get you 4 of them?
You have to disassemble it. but it is the cheapest route.??
I'll be recording a 16 person classical ensemble in Fort Worth with these in a few weeks. Im working?on permission?to post it. At a minimum I can post 15-30 second snippet. Im going?to use these mics as spot mics on the bassist. It is a piece specifically?written for that.?

HI again,
So after doing a lot of reading this is what I came up with. I believe this is everything I need as far as the microphone is concern? I still need a donor mic and a 5 pin connect and if anyone knows something cheaper or better than the bm-800 shell? I want to make the dual out microphone. I am choosing the k12 version unless someone can recomend the k47? I want as neutrual as possible as well as low noise. I can do some soldering but I can't say I am the best. Having a chip board complete, I am less likely to mess something up. The next build, I will take all the parts and solder each component on the board. That will be my next challenge after this.?
Does anyone know the weighted dba for the circuit / capsule together? I read on the link?True Condenser OPA Mics : 6 Steps (with Pictures) - Instructables that the mic builds are about 8dba to 9 dba of self noise. However I am not sure if that was with the premade circuits or with soldering each component myself.?
