So I've just fried one of a matched pair of EM172s I bought from Micbooster. ?I've learnt my lesson and made a heatsink for future soldering! ?
I'm thinking of exploring PUI 5024s next: ?people seem to be getting very excited about them, and I'm doing this as money is tight and I can't really justify ?28 for another matched pair at the moment.
So what does matching entail at this level? ?I'm assuming it's not the full frequency plot matching you get with a high end matched pair of condensers. ?Is it likely to just be sensitivity matching? ?
