It'll be no fun figuring that out without a good working example. Otherwise I suspect you'd have to reverse engineer it.

For this application, they want a lower voltage, so they used a tapped inductor get about 25V at the tap while the chip sees more like 33V across the full winding.? The data sheet shows 5 millihenry for the example inductor value.

Is it a single winding, tapped or more than one winding?

Ray,
The PRO-30 schematic shows a tapped winding with 3 leads.? The TCA720 looks to be a boost converter designed to put out about 33V from a 4.5-18V supply.? Looking for a manual and or schematic for the Systron Donner 7344A digital multimeter.
It's a 1RU 19" rack mount.? May have been issued under another number or otherwise branded.

Wanted: Horizon Electronics DHR3655D power supply

 

I have four of these and all exhibit the same symptoms.? I expect a common cause, but initial inspection revealed no obvious cause(s).? Time to find documentation.

I have a datasheet, which is nice but not particularly enlightening when troubleshooting.
