¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello Erno, ? I am surprised about your email. If I knew before I would inform all you immediately. Everything was arrange to leave on Monday. Sunday evening I was feeling not quite well, but nothing to worry about. Monday morning I was tiered and had a headache, so just to be sure I took a covid self test +/- 10.00 o¡¯clock. I was surprised that it was positive. After that I called Gerben telling the situation. I decided to drive to an official test center for final/official results. Looking on the internet I found one in Rotterdam. I could make the test earliest on 11:30, the results would be emailed to me within 30 minutes. Quickly loaded my car with the suitcases and my backbag, I would drive after the test immediately to Arnhem to the meeting point with Gerben. There was no time left to drive home again. Gerben left his house also otherwise he would not be on time in Arnhem. I told Gerben, if I am negative we continue as planned. If I am positive I have to stay at home and will not join the team. (It was still possible to drive to Arnhem and give all my equipment to Gerben). At 1206 I received by email the final results of my test, I parked my car just outside Rotterdam and called Gerben to tell him the results. Gerben told me that he will go with the whole team and not just with 3 people. When I was calling Gerben I added Guenter in the conference call. Guenter told me that you would arrive in 10 minutes or so. ? I don¡¯t know how you got the information about the parking place cancellation, but I received from Gerben an email on Monday 13.00 with the confirmation that the Parking Place was cancelled and that we receive all the money back. ? There must be an misunderstanding that we already knew it before Monday morning. I would inform the whole team about. Maybe I had to inform all of you just after 10.00 o¡¯clock after my self test, but I didn¡¯t want you all to be concerned if I was negative or positive until I got the final results. ? I think Ron and Gerben already knew on Saturday or Sunday that we will not fly. Gerben has already cancelled the parking on Sunday. I found out only on Monday afternoon with ³Ò¨¹²Ô³Ù±ð°ù that our trip has been deleted. Now it was too late for any activities for me. So I cannot claim anything with the insurance. Too bad that I received the information so late, shortly before the scheduled departure. I'm still thinking about making the second attempt.

That does not give us further insight unfortunately, but I guess it is a lot more than the €93,95 per ticket. I'm still shocked by our cancellation yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't get sick leave because my doctor is on vacation.
The Le Grande Blue has changed our booking to 22.11. to 03.12.
If we book the flights again, we have to build in security so that if one person fails again, the others can still fly.
Ron maybe Martin can come along in November. If one then fails, we are still 4 surgeries.
Or we try to win another 5th OP.
We should rebook the flights next week at the latest.
Gerben maybe you can contact the airline again. Maybe they give us a promotion code.
Than we can booked direct on his webseide.
The flights on 21st Nov by travelagent 1055€ on the webside by Ethiopian 1250€.

Logging (as I assume you did when booking) and next tell them you want to cancel and ask for a refund. Please let me know if that works for you.
