My idea would be to participate in some kind of charity while we are visiting. As we are already fully packed, brining items with us is not very realistic, however if we have some spare old mobile phones etc. this could be of help maybe. In addition we could do a fundraiser, but I would personally like to make it practical and concrete and for example purchase items for a school or Project directly while we are there, so we don't transfer money but donate goods and can see and show our lenders what we actually supported.

I have some experience with charity and donating in Africa, but would like to hear from you about your ideas and thoughts. In the meantime I can search for some charities / NGO's around Nosy-Be.

Ich k?nnte Celine vom Hotel fragen ob sie eine Schule, Kindergarten oder Waisenhaus kennt wo wir etwas helfen k?nnen. Ich werde auch fragen was wir mitbringen sollten.

Unser Gep?ck ist für 4 Operator ausgelegt da haben wir mindestens 1 Koffer für Hilfsmittel frei.

I agree that we need to be sure that it will be well spend. We most likely have to consult local people but also with that we need to be careful. Perhaps we could see if we can obtain some fund (provisionally) from clubs and if we find a good destination, we can buy stuff and donate it.
