Hello, ? Today I will start with the repack of my suitcases. (90% is still packed hi). I have no problem with 6m, especially if we have a beam. The HEX-beam with 2 elements is a challenge, but a 6 elements will be fine. We have 12m aircell 7 coax cable on the list for the 3rd station. So, that is no problem. I can bring the 6m bandpass filter also. ? I had received the last 2 months many request for 6m. The change for F2 openings will be available especially if the flux will be above 150. But TEP is also still possible. Last week I worked 5V7 from home, and southern Europeans worked many times J28 and 3B8 (and 1 month ago D6 and FR). It must be possible. If we noticed that the band is open, we can change the radio so we have 500 watts on 6m. It has a less priority compared with the other bands and also on the operator that has his shift during that time. But we all need to be agreed with Johannes his proposal. ? 73 Ronald ? ? Alle Pl?ne sind geschmiedet, Koffer gepackt und wir sind (fast) startklar! ? Ich m?chte einen Gedanken mit euch teilen, basierend auf meinen bisherigen Erfahrungen w?hrend unserer DX-pedition E31A zusammen mit Zorro (JH1AJT) (SK) und Franz (DJ9ZB) (SK). Wir hatten ein tolles Antennensetup und neben den ganzen Antennen f¨¹r HF hatte Franz noch eine portable 6m Yagi mitgebracht, die uns bei Er?ffnungen auf 6m gro?e Freude bereitete! (und ein Leckerbissen f¨¹r die DX-Community). ? Nun, ich m?chte keine der bereits gemachten Pl?ne ?ndern und stimme dem aktuellen Setup selbstverst?ndlich zu. Wenn es jedoch eine Chance und Gelegenheit f¨¹r eine einfache Erg?nzung gibt, werde ich nicht darauf verzichten, sie mit Ihnen zu teilen. ? Falls alles nach Plan l?uft und wir alle mit unserem Gep?ck reisen k?nnen, w¨¹rde ich gerne eine kleine tragbare 6-Elemente-Yagi f¨¹r 6 m mitbringen, die wir an unseren Ersatz-IC-7300 anschlie?en k?nnen (wenn Sie damit einverstanden sind) und sie stattdessen n¨¹tzlich machen in einem Koffer unt?tig zu sein. ? Es wird kaum etwas zus?tzlich ben?tigt, da wir uns ein Koax teilen k?nnen und vor Ort ein einfaches Rohr als Mast bekommen (damit habe ich Erfahrung). ? Antennenspezifikationen: ? ? Gentlemen, ? Within 10 days we will start our DX-pedition and be active from Nosy-Be! All plans have been made, suitcases packed and we are (almost) ready to go! I would like to share a thought with you, based on my previous experience during our DX-pedition E31A together with Zorro (JH1AJT) (SK) and Franz (DJ9ZB) (SK). We had a great antenna setup and in addition to all the antennas for HF, Franz had brought a portable 6m yagi, which gave us great joy during openings on 6m! (and a treat to the DX community). ? Now, I don't want to change any of the plans that are already made and I obviously agree with the current setup. However, if there is a chance and opportunity for a simple addition, I will not refrain to share it with you. ? In case all goes to plan and we can all travel with our luggage, I would love to bring a small portable 6 element yagi for 6m, which we can connect to our spare IC-7300 (if you agree) and make it useful, instead of being idle in a suitcase. ? There is hardly anything additional needed, since we can share a coax and get a simple pipe locally as a mast (I have experience with this). ? Antenna specifications: ?
