*.dxf to G-Code

VisualCAD/CAM rarely shows up in forums as being used.? Does anyone use it?

I’m told D2NC is no longer supported and you can’t buy a license.

Don’t know if that means it’s free, or you’re dead in the water after 15 day trial.

?

I have Bobcad, Type3, Draftsight, SolidWorks and Lazycam

?

Bobcad is good for complex stuff, but far too long winded for most of what we do.

Type 3 was good for CNC engraving text on signs, though we moved this to laser many years ago.

While I use Draftsight and Solidworks on a regular basis, I’ve only played with the CAM part and need to explore it further.

?

Practically because most of our work is simple CNC piercing enclosures, or drilling and tapping heatsinks, I tend to use LazyCam, it does have occasional bugs, but usually gives me quick results from a dxf I can manually edit and is good to run with.
