I am not sure of the correct answer, but for soft limits on any system to work, I would expect that you would need to home your machine to set a reference point. Really ? didn't know that. Is it in the manual ?
Other point : it seems some beginners have never read the mach2 manual. There is 2 reasons according to me : - it's not easy to find on your site (perhaps a web shortcut inside mach2 could be fine). - it's big The lack of simple documentation for mach2 gives a lot of similar questions on the forum, for example it seems a lot of users have problems to understand limits and referencing, perhaps because it's too complicated in the manual.
