Constant velocity/Exact stop

Hi Art;

When I set Exact stop on state tab and put a G64 in the program
my machine still runs in Exact stop mode. Led lights to indicate
CV mode but machine is still running in Exact stop mode.

If I change it on the state tab it then works in CV mode.

What I was looking to do was change back and forth between
modes while program is running. Is this possible?

Thank you
Bob Harvey

Bob:

Sounds like a bug to me. When you change the CV mode on the state tab, it
changes a single varibale in the program. That varibale also controls the
LED now on the main page. If the LED lights, then you should be in CV mode
and further lines queued from that point should follow the setting.

I will check to see whats wrong...( I think I already know...)...

Thanks,
Art

Bob:

( And Izak). CV had a major problem. It is fixed and can be downloaded now
in r1.0. Changing between G8 and G9 ( or G61 and G64) could be ignored under
certain circumstances. (This included backlash) .
It has been repaired and uploaded. This one was nasty, stareing at me,
yet I kept missing it.,,

You can now mix G61 and G64's to obtain selective CV mode if you wish.
Thanks,
Art

Hi Art;

G61 & G64 now work as expected on my machine. CV can be toggled on and
off in the same program.

Also when G61 or G64 is entered on MDI screen it now toggles the state
screen settings.

Now having some trouble with having my editor come up when in Mach2.
Will check out some more and let you know if it's a problem.

I have been lirking lately as you've been so busy and I didn't want to
bother you.

Thanks for the quick respounce.

Make sure that the editor is pointing to the right program location in the
logic settings. I usually use notepad, some other programs have trouble with
command line tranfering of the file name. Its something I meant to fix so
that wordpad could be used.

Thanks,

Hi Art;

I have been using Programmers File Editor on Mach2 all along.
Great editor for loading large files > 10meg.

I checked logic page and path to editor was right.
I clicked on browse and reselected editor.
Editor now works again--- mysteries of windows again.

Thanks for all your help.
