Arcade joysticks will work good for on/off pushbutton type jogging too. Many and cheap on ebay.

If you've ever opened up a pc joystick, you wouldn't go through the
bother, Industrial analog joysticks cost $$$$ if you don't need the
variable rate, I have a simple circuit that lets you use n.o.
pushbuttons to emulate a joystick, gives you pushbutton jogging,
basically what you'd have using the arrow keys, and you can use the
throttle pot for feedrate.
