Next version will have a development tool for laser displacement triggers.
You can set a grid that will make the DigTrigger output trigger for 20-40 us
each time the X or Y axis moves a specific distance. This means if you set
the grid to 2mm's and do a G0X10, you will get a trigger at 0,2,4,6,8, and
10 mm's.
How you get the data and what you do with it may be another problem
entirely. You could hook the sensor to a laptop and simply save the data as
a grid of 3d as it comes in I suppose. At any rate this feature should be
enough for you to start or test development. It is also the core timing code
for pin-prick engraving as it is now possible to tie graphic data to a
decision to pulse the pin during an active movement.
