Definitely 5-axis. Does it have a tool changer? (curiousity question)
Did this machine come with test files?
Are you able to execute them?
Are the test files readable gcode or are they unreadable binary files?
If they are readable gcode you should be able to at least be able to get up and running with gcode generators like Carbide Create 2.5-Axis, MeshCAM 3-Axis, Fusion 360 5-Axis ().??
You should also be able to look at the gcode and review the gcode to see what commands are sent to control the machine.
If they are unreadable binary, (not a good situation) did the machine come with controlling software that reads .dxf files that allows you to select stock size, tools, and routes for roughing, fine routes, and penciling?
