Re: mill wizard license

Run a network cable from the house computer to the workshop computer and set up a private network. Then you can send file between them and remote into each computer from the other one. If the distance is more than 99 meters you will need fibre.

Use remote desktop or perhaps VNC () to mirror your workshop screen in the house?

Subject: Re: [MachCNC] mill wizard license

I have a license on the shop machine. I just want to use mill wizard in the house but can not figure out how to do that. I have internet from Viasat and it is unbelievably fucked up. Ability to connect to secure sites changes from hour to hour. I tried to create an account using my welcome email link so I could add another computer to the license but after about an hour gave up.

All I want to do is use Mill Wizard in the house I am not trying to get anything for nothing. I used CamBam instead for which I also have a license and got the job done but MW would have been faster.

Yes, that is correct. You can generate a JOB file, which saves all
your operations and input values. You can then load the job file on a
system with a license and generate gcode with it.

Depending on how you prefer to work you can put the licensee on your
desk machine and do all your design there, then take the gcode to the
shop. You can also do your design and see the resulting graphic, save
the job file and do the gcode on the machine in your shop.

We tried to make it flexible, give you a nice demo version, but still
restrict it so you would buy a license. We were not doing software for
charity, as I assume you don't give away your work.
