vcarve may have options as to step size? with some exceptions
related to trajectory planning in mach 4 i have found that mach 4
produces smoother cuts. however i think the biggest change was
switching to ethernet smooth stepper.
also you need to control chip load by varying motion speed and
tool speed.? also need to be sure both the material hold down and
the machine in general are rigid. different woods are different
and cut differently. some wood is especially difficult to cut
smoothly due to variations in hardness and grain.
also tool quality is very important. i get much smoother cuts
with high quality US made tools such as Eastside

Hey let me ask yall a question. Does mach3 have anything
to do with the smoothness of a cut. I just cut some letters and
they are ragged looking. I'm using VCarve Pro. Is the vcarve the
place I should be looking instead.
