Quiet is good but results in less power. ?You want your motors to “sing” when moving for maximum power. Over power and over acceleration causes a growling noise resulting in missed steps ?

why is quietness important?? if you limit the motor current with whatever setting ability you have with your driver you can get it quieter but with less power. microstepping can also be quieter. playing with acceleration and speeds can also effect noise but you have to decide what is important quietness or other aspects of performance. if you really need quietness most and pretty good performance you might do better with servo motors. steppers are just inherently noisier.?

Hi, I am new to cnc machines and I was wanting to know if anyone can help me with tweaking of my stepper motors. I am trying to make it sound as quiet as possible but I cant find out how to tune the motors properly.? Any help will be much appreciated?
