Fascism is a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual. It is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition. This is exactly what Donald Trump proposes. Only if the new president pays for it and no government subsidy is allowed. Yes. Many people were fooled. It was the false accusation that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were eating people's pets. No. Aloha, Celeste Rogers

I like Angela Merkel for this honor. No, not in any way. It's for black entrepreneurs. It gives them a chance to make up for lost time during the slavery and discrimination eras. Unlikely. I have no idea. Nor does it really matter. Certainly. Aloha, Celeste Rogers

[CoMe] Shocking Report from Inside Trump's Nazi Rally 5
The Democrats are trying to turn a comedian who told a couple of jokes offending Puerto Ricans two hours before Trump took the podium into an election issue, and link a Nazi rally held in a long-demolished Madison Square Garden that was 13 blocks away from the present building and 90 years ago to Trump's choice of venue. It shows how desperate the Democrats are to find an issue.

driverless taxis 15
In his weekly questions a week or three ago, Marvin asked if readers would be comfortable using a wireless taxi. It seems that "tens of thousands of paying passengers every week" are taking to them in California. The American economy thrives on novelty. They call it "progress" and Americans apparently love it. Waymo¡¯s Golden Hour CREDIT: POPPY LYNCH FOR WSJ By Meghan Bobrowsky On the streets of San Francisco these days, you¡¯re likely to come across dozens of white Jaguars with whirling sensors and cameras. No, they aren¡¯t mapping for Google Street View, as some bystanders guessed. They¡¯re Waymo¡¯s self-driving cars and they¡¯re giving rides to tens of thousands of paying passengers every week. Waymo¡ªowned by Google¡¯s parent, Alphabet¡ªhas become a popular mode of transportation in this city, a year after residents and local officials balked at them for stalling on busy streets and disrupting construction zones. The company has had time to improve the driverless cars, and locals have had a chance to get more comfortable with them, as I reported with my colleague Miles Kruppa. Waymo has also gone on a marketing blitz, promoting the privacy of its cars for date night and stuffing fortune cookies at Chinatown restaurants with app-download QR codes. And it helped that Waymo¡¯s main competitor Cruise exited the market last fall after state regulators pulled its driverless permits. The result is that Waymo is starting to pull ahead in the robotaxi race, just as Tesla CEO Elon Musk is trying aggressively to enter the market. Last week, he unveiled plans for two new driverless vehicles¡ªa car and a shuttle bus¡ªbut they won¡¯t be operational for some time. Meanwhile, Waymo is now setting its sights on the rest of the country. In addition to San Francisco, its robotaxi service operates in Phoenix and Los Angeles, just started giving rides in Austin, Texas, and plans to launch in Atlanta next year. Eventually, Waymo said, it wants to take its cars overseas. ¡ªMeghan is a tech reporter based in San Francisco. [PhilosophicalM] Why Weak Men and Single Women vote Socialist 2
That was so extraordinarily silly. That guy presented no evidence for his assertions. And there are no good reasons for everyone to spend a lot of time at the gym. I spend a lot of time at the gym (and have for decades) and I have no interest in supporting any right-leaning politicians. The politicians on the right in the U.S. are certainly authoritarians. Even the title of his video was silly. The Communist party in the U.S. is very small. I don't know of any Communists running for office. It's not a good idea to give men extra testosterone if they don't medically need it. Doing so can result in prostate cancer. Aloha, Celeste Rogers On 10/4/2024 9:08 PM, Pat Trivers wrote:

1. What should Israel's response to the ballistic missile attacks from Iran? Massive strikes on Iranian export facilities. Blowing up their oil production and refining will hurt the people - destroying their export capability will cut off the government's money 2. Should the US get involved - if so how? Park the New Jersey offshore of Kharg Island 3. Should the lWA be forced to go back to work under the Taft Hartley Act? Moot point - the ILA and shipping companies came to a compromise. But the companies need to be able to automate as it becomes feasible. 4. Is Putin serious about using nuclear weapons? Unfortunately yes - there was a book called The Third World War published in the early 70s which talked about exactly that. And Tom Clancy wrote about it in his second book - can't remember the title. 5. If nuclear weapons are used by Russia - what should be our response? Embargo, shut down their export of petroleum products, increase shipping of liquified natural gas to Euriope and drill, drill, drill - as well as build more oil refineries. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "M-Scholars and Scribes" group. "2. Should Generation Z hire be required to take etiquette training as part of their job orientation? Marvin: "They should take it before they get out of high school." I wonder if they should wait that long. I watched one the other day who was completely clueless, and though the parent gave timely feedback, perhaps learning manners takes feedback from other adults and in a group setting where kids can learn from one another. I still remember a grade school teacher who made all the boys wait to let all the girls leave the classroom first. Ed

1. Should import tariffs be based on the producers burning of fossil fuels to manufacture products? It would serve as a tax on carbon dioxide emissions but as other have said - how to determine the amount. 2. Should Generation Z hire be required to take etiquette training as part of their job orientation? They should take it before they get out of high school. 3. Should criminally convicted illegal immigrants to subject to immediate deportation? Depends on the crime - non violent misdimeoners might be grounds to require a longer wait for citizenship but felonies should definitely be grounds - unless they are violent in which case the felons should be sent to Florence Colorado 4. Would you eat guacamole made by a robot at Chipotle? Certainly - probably clearer than what is prepared by hand. 5. What is the oldest book you have? Non fiction - a 1929 almanac. Fiction a collection or Mark Twain -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "M-Scholars and Scribes" group.
