Marvin if there was anything worth challenging in the count Trump would not have lost every single one of the? over 50 frivolous challenges in court, some thrown out by judges he appointed. Trump lost because 80million Americans banded together to vote his sorry ass out. Yes his complete mishandling of Covid? was a key factor, complete with the non stop lies that went with it.? Also factors, or what should have been factors, corruption , isolationism, kids in cages, allowing polluters to run wild, draining the treasury , obstruction of justice , Ukranian matter,? divisive rhetoric , damaging our alliances? Russian involvement and more. His election was a result of his appeal to irrational resentments and the fact that the electoral college so overwhelmingly tips the balance toward a GOP candidate. He also long ago displayed the erratic qualities that led him to deny the results and inspire the debacle of January 6th.? A critical mass of the American public got sick of his shit.? Biden is if nothing else familiar, genial and experienced. People as a group feel far more secure with him in charge. I am also convinced that no other Democrat could have won . People were motivated to turn out, others becane Biden republicans , those with conservative leanings , who voted GOP down ballot , but were done with Trump himself and his nonstop antics.?

I agree with that, and Trump should have known better than to ridicule masks, though Dr. Fauci, in one of his reversals initially said masks were unnecessary.? The Democrats announced in advance that Trump would fail in handling corona virus, and if anyone ay all died of it, they'd cote that as evidence, and went on to ignore NYC's bungling that resulted in the highest rate in the world while ignoring 20,000 deaths caused by the George Floyd protests, and the media's innumeracy. I suspect he probably did. Little known fact, pardons do not have to be publicly announced or filed with the DOJ. Pardons can be issued privately (obviously if the person ever needed to use the pardon, then it would be publicly known.) Whether or not it is legal for a president to pardon himself is an open legal question, with no precedent¡..but guilty or not, if I were Trump, I would have secretly given myself a pardon just in case, and I would be very surprised if he didn¡¯t. I think it is also likely that he secretly pardoned his family members. ? Rhonda

This. There is nothing liberal or socialist about Biden. Modern day Democrats are right of center, and similar to Ronald Reagan Republicans of the 80¡¯s. Modern day Republicans are even farther right of center, approaching fascism.
It surprises me that real alternatives, such as Libertarians or Greens haven¡¯t made much of a dent in US politics. It would appear that most Americans are happy with the choices of right of center (Democrats) and super right of center (Republicans.)

Just because you submit them as wrong, doesn't mean anything. Pure monetarism and pure Keynesianism can fail, and there does come a point where additional taxes have negative returns, just like raising prices doesn't always result in more revenue.? Also, Friedman won the Nobel Prize in Economics. ?(He might also be the reason neither of us got drafted, since that was one policy that he opposed.)
As for Giuliani, I don't know what you're referring to, but he was a great US Attorney who took on the mafia, and a great mayor of NYC who cleaned up the city and the subways, reclaimed Times Square from the sex clubs, and dropped the crime rate.? Basically, he cleaned up the mess of David Dinkins, who was one of the worst mayors since Tammany Hall.? Giuliani?also did a great job in getting the city through 9/11.
