1. ?What is the difference between being confident and being sure?

In practical use, people who feel confident are most of the time wrong, they only feel confident because they are ignorant of all the known variables. And people who feel sure, they are usually informed enough to recognize the possibilities that they are wrong about, but also informed enough to know they have considered those possibilities and are likely to be correct.

2. Are you concerned about getting sick with the Delta virus?

Mildly. I am vaccinated, as is everyone in my immediate family, and we do all mask when around people we don¡¯t know. On the other hand, nothing is 100%. My family depends on my salary, I can¡¯t afford to get sick and miss work, so I feel a responsibility to make sure I can keep working.

And, I¡¯m a mother, so I worry about everything in general anyway. I spend more time worrying about car accidents, than I do the Delta variant.

3. ? Do you think the existing vaccines are effective against the Delta virus?

Yes, in most cases they are effective, unfortunately not as effective as against the original variants.

4. ? ?What do you feel was the greatest accomplishment of your life?

Hand-down, birthing & raising children.

5. Who is your favorite contemporary author?

Stephen King. Although, since I started having children 20 years ago, I read far less than I use to. I feel that if I were reading more, I would have a different favorite author, then Stephen King, who became my favorite author in the late 80¡¯s/early 90¡¯s.? So for now, Stephen King is still my favorite author, but I expect 10-15 years from now when I have more free time to read, I will have a different favorite author.
