How can an opinion be a lie - that sounds like a good Friday Five question.
The problem is that the experts were quite commonly contradictory? and sometimes just as my old boss used to say - Former Drips under prressure.
Marvin Hmm no, it's not a matter of opinion.
Some things are lies, like when it says that polititians did not have experts telling them what should be done. They did have, and were told, and did not do what they were told by the experts they had. That as a general rule, because it happened in almost every country, not only UK.
Saying that we are fortunate because it could be worse might be a matter of opinion (to wich I do not agree either).
It is a very long and winding reading that, as said before, hides lies among truth to make the reader believe polititians did well.

Marvin I did not considered it excellent at all. I found it a mix of half lies and half truths, with conculsions presented as truth, with a clear goal of getting the responability off the polititians who made clearly and worned wrong choices.
