Astro Gadget Bluetooth Adaptor issues -Gemini 1

Hi all,

Does anyone out there use the Astro Gadget Bluetooth Adaptor on a Gemini 1?

My issues are that although it is found by the phone/computer it connects ok then the connection drops within a few seconds.
Astro Gadget advised to try upping the voltage from 5v to 12v and to turn off my router as WiFi and BT use the same frequency but am still getting the same issue.

Would be interested to hear of anyone elses experience using this BT unit either on Gemini 1 or even Gemini 2

In my experience's, Bluetooth is less reliable than WiFi, and shorter reach.
So I use my Baby Dell outside, and WiFi it via my home router network.

I have both the Bluetooth and the WiFi version. I¡¯ve had issues with the Bluetooth connecting to my Apple devices, so now use the WiFi all the time as there¡¯s not an issue connecting?

After a few emails with Alexander at Astro Gadget, he has kindly offered to send a replacement unit, because of the comments on this post i have asked if the replacement can be a wifi adaptor instead so fingers crossed he is ok with that.

Hi Dave,
Is your WiFi unit from Astro-gadget.net working OK?
I'm thinking of purchasing one for my old Gemini 1.

Mine works fine with Gemini 1

Thanks Bryn,
do you power it from the second 4-pin Din on the Gemini 1 or via a separate dc power supply?
I would like to power it from the Gemini if possible.
