Re: Goto the Moon way off
Thanks Way back. Yes I'll reread the docs. I just tried the moon again and the scope went to CWD (on command), then moon? (although I couldn't see it - at least it was in the right direction) and

Re: Goto the Moon way off
Dave, I'd just use the PC browser you got working. The HC cannot set the Sites.? You need to do that through the Gemini-2 LAN Server Browser Pages.? The one titled "Site/Time".? There exists five

Re: Goto the Moon way off
All settings within Gemini.NET are stored in the profile. PEC data is optional, and you can select if you want to store it or not.

Re: Goto the Moon way off
Heya Paul, This is what I remembered. I so rarely have had issues with the Gemini 2 over Ethernet that I don't use it. Does this save every settable value? Maybe I have been overlooking something
Re: Goto the Moon way off
Hi Chip, Sure. In the ASCOM driver you can save current settings to a profile and then reload them, and send to Gemini whenever you want. Make sure the driver is connected to Gemini, first:

Re: Goto the Moon way off
You might have most of the settings right now if you are only a little way off from your targets now. Maybe don't mess with them anymore. When you were off 180 degrees yes, that's a simple Gemini
Re: Goto the Moon way off
Hi Paul, Is there some way to take a snapshot of all possible settings and put them into a file and saved on a PC so once the mount is configured correctly the saved settings can be refreshed from

Re: Goto the Moon way off
I understand it might be hard, but if your gotos wind up pointing into the ground, you need to start from a clean scratch. Start by setting up the proper CWD position, then turn on Gemini, do a Cold

I'm doing a warm restart at first. I have a CWD position, but park overnight in my home position with the counter weights level with the deck and the scope level. I am a little? uncomfortable with?

Re: Goto the Moon way off
Are you first putting the mount into the correct CWD position, then turning on Gemini and selecting Cold Start? That's the sequence you should start with. The CWD position will have the center of the

Dave, is your RA worm gear ratio negative? It should be positive for a G11G.

Re: Goto the Moon way off
With the help of someone that has a g11 - we set it up facing north with a CWD position. I check each day that it's home position and CWD are correct. I expect I've done something stupid but I haven't

Re: Goto the Moon way off
Is it pointing directly away from the sun??? Is the telescope simply on the mount backward?? (Or the mount confused about how it is set up?)

Re: Goto the Moon way off
The moon isn't above the horizon yet, and the HC correctly reported it as unavailable. I tried a goto the sun (with the cover on) and the scope pointed downwards to the NW (the front of the scope is

Re: Goto the Moon way off
Thanks. The settings seem to be ok. The moon did show up on the HC yesterday - so I assume the Gemini thought it visible - yet pointed way off. I will check around lunchtime and make sure all of my
