Greg when you connect to the TP Link on your laptop, make sure you aren't also connected to your home network via wifi. turn wifi off on your computer. It's just for now to hunt this down -- Brian

What is the IP address of the laptop (the ethernet interface, not the wifi)?? It needs to be on the same subnet as the TP-Link -- in this, the first three octets of the IP should be 192.168.0. Try
