If you didn't buy the mount and Gemini 2 new from Losmandy you should verify the firmware versions. Go into the HC - Hand Controller - sub menu then select the "Info" screen and you will see the HC firmware version, Mainboard firmware version and the PIC chip firmware version. As I recall the current versions are: Mainboard L6.02, HC 1.61 and PIC version 3.?
