It's fixed.? Thanks so much, guys.? I can't understand how I could have gone so many years without this happening before.
I think what happened was I had touched the screen at bootup when it was asking about calibration, and it went into an erroneous calibration.
I just went into a calibration, and used the handle end of a modeling paint brush.? There were little circular shapes.... one per screen, and I touched it each time.? Eventually it told me it was about to boot up, gave a countdown, but acted like it had trouble getting out of that.? It eventually did, and I got English with the normal green color theme.? I rebooted several times, and it didn't fail.? I moved the mount in all directions with the HC arrow keys.... no problem.?
I think using a stylus was key to re-do the calibration.
