Hello everyone!
I have a GM-8 and posted a philosophical review of it on
www.cloudynights.com. I use it extensively with a 6"
Mak/Cassigrain
and 5" Mak/Newtonian.
I really want to lubricate the mount to be smoother. A friend of
mine has a G11 which is smooth as silk - he relubricated his mount
and it does not have any sticking points - even if his clutches are
fairly snug. I would like to have the same smoothness (my mount
tends to stick).

Milton,
The best thing you can do to make your G11 move more smoothly is to
replace the nylon thrust washers with teflon, or, as in my case, put
thin sheet teflon on either side of the nylon disk. Don't lubricate
it, you'll see tremendous improvement!
