Re: Dec "drifts" randomly, after meridian flips...

"this log appears to only have runs that are pier side west - do you have a guidelog showing guiding after the flip?

Looking at your last 1hr run, here are a couple suggestions for you regarding PPEC:
?
1.? set your period length to 239.34 and turn off auto adjust period. Right now it's reading 688 seconds which is basically drift
?
2. increase your control gain to .7 and your prediction gain to .7

otherwise you are guiding around 0.6" looks pretty solid"

Thanks for those other tips, I will definitely do those things.
?
I'd really have to dig through a bunch of logs to find the couple of instances where what happened on start up on this log happened after a meridian flip. (They may have even auto-deleted by now...) It was identical in effect where Dec guiding was constantly working on one side for a while, that tapered and then balanced out.
?
I cannot think of anything remarkable about those instances that would otherwise differ from this one.
?
Any thoughts on that phenomenon in the log I sent?
