Michael,? The mount is the center of my astronomy.? Bad mount, bad pics.? Good mount + me still equals bad pics.? Oh well.? I am in the process of building a roll-off roof observatory at my astronomy club?.? This takes nearly all my spare time.
I definitely need to give my mount a good clean inside and out as well as replacing the clutches, most likely with yours..? You made a good point in another thread about the elasticity of solids.? Young's Modulus floated up from the depths of my brain.??
I know this has been recently asked but given the age and unknown provenance of my mount I would like to obtain and exploded drawing or diagram of the G11 so that I can verify that all the washers, shims, nuts bolts, and whatnot are all in their correct places.? It helps to start as the manufacturer intended I find.? Does such a drawing exist and, how might I obtain one please?
