I received my new G11GT? ?Mount (bought from Woodland Hills? ie www.telescopes.net )? ?yesterday. I have been looking at this mount upgrade for a couple of years .? Even with 4 previous mount / systems purchases in past 5 yrs ,, I consider myself new still brand new to amateur astronomy.? It didn't take very long after unboxing to make me absolutely sure I've bought my last mount . All parts of this system is precision High Quality manufacture . With all the UNIVERSAL options G8 to Titan ( very well explained on you tube and Losmandy website,, )? It will literally do the long exposure approach to astrophotography to whatever size payload you will need at any amateur or Hobby level. I am also impressed of backwards compatibility and future upgradeability of Scott's design.? ? Just make sure IF you go ahead and get the G11GT, you have help to assist with it as it is not a "easy-lift able " assembly when completely assembled with OTA/eyepieces or cameras. I am also impressed with the communication from Losmandy as I have attempted to get assistance from other manufacturers / distributors for parts or upgrade for some of my previous products , and especially since Covid-19 ,, support is virtually unavailable form other previous "cheaper" choices.??
