The Earth moving in relation to the stars does NOT require either polar realignment?of the mount or a new pointing model. The stars are sufficiently distant that the Earth's movement in its orbit does not introduce any significant angular displacement.??

Even when I left my mount set up, I always did a polar alignment at start up.
My logic was that things always change from night to night. Even if you negate ground vibrations, you must agree the Earth has moved in relation to the stars.
So at least a check of the PA is the first step in beginning.
